During DP1 I was tasked with creating the final Gantt Chart for our team. Using the template found in Excel, I was able to summarize all of the individual/team activities throughout the project and check whether the timelines are consistent to that of the preliminary Gantt Chart.
Nonetheless, there was indeed some inconsistency between the two Gantt Charts. For example, it took a bit more time to finalize our design and the actual building process required less time. These discrepancies helped me to better plan the activities when creating the preliminary Gantt Chart for DP2.

During DP2 I was tasked to create the preliminary Gantt Chart for our team. Using the template found in Excel, I was able to plan out a rough timeline for each activities. I also added some additional activities that were not found in the project schedule but were expected to happen.
One thing I learned from creating the preliminary Gantt Chart was to spread out the start dates and end dates of the activity, especially if they are happening toward the end of the project. In this way, we can have more time to focus on each of the activities instead of cramming them all together.
